This January, Harbor Theatrics proudly presents the world premiere of Good Show, Everybody, an original comedy by Jordan Matt-Zeitler, running January 22–31, 2027. Set entirely backstage during a community theatre production, this fast-paced farce invites audiences behind the curtain, where forgotten props, missed entrances, oversized egos, costume disasters, and mounting panic threaten to derail the performance. As the cast and crew scramble to keep the show alive, the line between chaos and comedy becomes delightfully blurred. Filled with rapid-fire laughs, theatrical in-jokes, and heartfelt affection for the wonderfully unpredictable world of live theatre, Good Show, Everybody is a celebration of the people who prove that no matter what happens backstage... the show must go on.
The Show
It's opening night, and absolutely nothing is going according to plan.
What should be a triumphant evening for a community theatre company quickly descends into complete and utter chaos as one catastrophe after another unfolds behind the curtain. Actors forget lines before the show has even begun. Props vanish. Costumes fall apart. Personal feuds erupt at the worst possible moments. Last-minute cast changes, technical failures, oversized egos, and well-intentioned improvisation threaten to bring the entire production crashing down before the audience ever realizes what's happening.
As the evening spirals further out of control, the cast and crew desperately scramble from one disaster to the next, discovering that every attempt to solve a problem only creates two more. Through frantic backstage races, outrageous misunderstandings, impossible quick changes, and perfectly timed comic mishaps, the company somehow keeps pushing forward—determined that no matter what happens behind the scenes, the audience will never know just how close they came to complete disaster.
Bursting with rapid-fire comedy, unforgettable characters, theatrical inside jokes, and nonstop farce, Good Show, Everybody is a hilarious love letter to community theatre and the wonderfully resilient people who make live performance possible. Whether you've spent years backstage or have never stepped into the wings, you'll recognize the passion, panic, and pure joy that comes from creating theatre together.
Because in the end, no matter how many things go wrong, one truth remains:
The show must go on.
