GOOSEBERRY LANE is a heartfelt comedy-drama set in the 1930s during the height of the Great Depression. The once-thriving theatre company led by producer Warren Trent has fallen on hard times and may be facing its final curtain. Seeking comfort and perhaps a spark of hope, the company gathers at the summer home of Lawrence Gooseberry for an afternoon of reminiscing about their glory days and discussing ways to save the troupe.
As old friends reconnect, memories give way to lingering resentments, bruised egos, and long-buried grievances. Dreams of reviving the company collide with the larger-than-life personalities of actors who have spent years fighting for the spotlight. Over the course of a single afternoon, laughter, heartbreak, and theatrical chaos unfold as these performers discover that preserving their company may require confronting not only an uncertain future, but also one another.
GOOSEBERRY LANE is a nostalgic and witty ensemble piece about friendship, ambition, and the enduring magic of theatre, even when the house lights seem destined to go dark.
GOOSEBERRY LANE will be presented at KTK North Theatre, 3519 N. 14th Street, St. Louis, MO 63107. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 pm. Sunday Matinees start at 2:00 pm.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Guest Artist is a compelling and darkly humorous exploration of art, ambition, disillusionment, and the complicated relationship between youthful idealism and hard-earned experience.
Kenneth Waters, an eager young theatre apprentice, is sent to welcome Joseph Harris—a world-renowned playwright and Kenneth’s personal hero. But the man who arrives is bitter, reluctant, and far removed from the inspirational figure Kenneth imagined. Their encounter becomes an honest and sometimes combative conversation about creativity, compromise, success, and what it means to devote your life to making art.

Kenneth Waters — Early 20s; an apprentice at a professional theatre company.
Joseph Harris — 50s; a world-renowned, critically acclaimed playwright.
Ticket Man — 40s; a local bus station employee.
AUDITION INFORMATION
This is an open call. Auditions will consist of cold readings, and sides are available in advance. Please bring a résumé and headshot if available.
Rehearsals begin October 1, 2026, and will generally be held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at KTK South.
Performances will be held November 13–15 and November 20–22, 2026, at KTK North.
